BATMAN and ELI WHITNEY team up in a story so intense we could only call it "COTTONTASTROPHE!"

Batman teaming up with KISS was pretty funny, and the Aunt May gag was good, but the rest of these are maddeningly subtle.

Who can help BATMAN when GRENDEL'S GREAT-AUNT attacks Gotham City? None other than BLUE-BLAZIN' BEOWULF!

When BATMAN falls into a cursed spring, only one boy can help him - RANMA SAOTOME! Follow their adventure in "HOT WATER, COLD BAT!"

BATMAN is Lost In Time and only the most niche of characters can save him! Don't miss an issue of BRUCE WAYNE: LOST IN TIM!

Batman, Flaming Carrot, and Herbie Popnecker - the only Justice Leage the world needs.

Yeah, I'm with lumensimus: not sure how many of these are supposed to be funny or just random "Here's Batman with someone."

These are great! I would totally read "Batman & Machine Man."
posted by Fuzzy Monster at 12:19 PM on May 24, 2010

Most of these are sort of pro forma, but KISS was funny if only to imagine what the songs of Batman would sound like.

I think he should stick to only Batman & Anagrams of Batman. Hence, "Batman & Man-Bat!" "Batman & Bantam!" "Batman & Tab-Man!" "Batman & B'Namat!" And like so.

For one horrible moment, I thought it was another Lost thread.

Cool find, I liked that.

I dunno about Lost, but I can do you some alternate Earth DC covers from Fringe.

Because everyone knows that KISS are superheroes in the Marvel Universe.

I was about to suggest BATMAN and DON KNOTTS until I realized that may have been the plot of a later Scooby Doo episode.

The main point of this link is a lot of fun, but for me the hidden gem is the series of unused Mike Allerd DC Monopoly Community Chest cards. What fun! I wonder what they would have said, especially the Green Lantern one.

"You've been charged for property damage in battle! Pay $150!" if my eyes don't deceive me.

Where are Batman and Soupy Sales? Batman and Almost Dead Flying Guy? Batman and Mr. Terrific (from the 1966 CBS TV show)? Batman and Bat Lash, Bat Masterson and Batroc? You'd think these would be fairly obvious, wouldn't you?
