It's not up to the standards of the beating that Rodney King took, but it seems less called for than the punch John Prescott threw. A policeman in Wakefield (UK) is videoed applying some, uh, instant justice.

Sorry I couldn't find anything better than that animated gif. This news article has a video report but I haven't viewed it.

I watched the video. A fat bastard cop punches out a skinny guy while another cop stands by.

I hope the cop goes to jail.
