Friends of the Pleistocene (and their blog)

Via io9, who link to their Geologic Time Viewer, which I think is pretty neat image. I just don't understand why the heck they call it "an interactive graphic design."

Either this is utter gobbledygook, or I'm completely missing the point.

"Welcome to Friends of the Pleistocene (FOP), founded in 002010"

Artsy gobbledygook it may be, but I think it's cool. I live at the bottom of a glacial lake, so I sorta get where they're coming from.

Yeah. I agree that it's artsy gobbledygook, but I think it's interesting gobbledygook.

Me - miss the point of art? Yeah, that's about par for the course.... Right then, carry on.

That Geologic Time Viewer must have some sort of grudge against the Holocene.

I'm still not sure what they do but the photographs on their blog are pretty darn good.

I waited almost 24 hours before returning to this thread in the hopes that someone would have explained it by now.

I'm still lost.
