It wasn't universal even in that one single room. Half the crowd sang fa when he went down from sol the first time.

very cool! it's always fascinating to me why certain notes/tones sound "wrong" or "right" to people across the scale, even to those who don't have perfect pitch or can't sing for their lives.

Seeing him in concert a few months ago was an incredible experience. You don't need to be familiar with anything he's done (none of us were) to have a really fun time. Lots of audience participation!
