The rise and rise of the f*** yeah tumblrs

The rise of the f*** yeah tumblrs has been noted on MeFi, but with the appearance of Is it a F*** Yeah!?, it's easier to find curious FYTs. So in addition to the obvious cats, sharks and what have you, one might happen upon modernism, Hamlet, e.e cummings, chinchillas, archeology, Romania, The Kinks, weather, and ballet.

My favorite is Fuck Yeah Math. It's actually really good. It has a lot of silly fun math jokes on it, but I was surprised that occasionally they take math questions. And whoever is answering them usually knows their stuff (it's usually just college math, but still, fuck yeah! for answering math questions).

What hasn't been made into one?

A few months ago I tried to make a Fuck Yeah, Hot Beverages! tumblr. Unfortunately, there are only so many photos of steaming cups of tea one can post before resorting to crappy stock photos with watermarks. So, it was deleted, my knowledge of how to make a secondary tumblr intact. If you want to take up the endeavor of spreading the joy of hot beverages to everyone, feel free, because according to this widget nobody else has.

I wanted to point out my favorite, and the only one I subscribe to: Fuck yeah, animals with casts! But it looks like they decided to get rid of the obscenities since I last checked.

Sure, it's sad that the animals were once in pain, but isn't it sweet to know that someone cared for them and they'll soon be better?
