I like Morcheeba, this group shows up on Pandora when you make a Massive Attack, list. The group I really like that I found by accident on Pandora, is Kosheen. I know this is tangental, but their imagery was Native American, so I thought hey! But they are out of Bristol, England. The album Kokopelli, has some great sounds, and Damage is also great. I will have to listen to Skye Edwards' stuff. I thought that Morcheeba was just one person. I listen with one half of my mind, the other half is somewhere... posted by Oyéah at 4:28 PM on June 13, 2010
Whatever you may think of the song stylings, that woman sings in tune, an increasingly distinguishing feature. posted by StickyCarpet at 4:31 PM on June 13, 2010
Morcheeba kind of lost me around '04 or '05, but I've always loved her voice. posted by dirigibleman at 4:36 PM on June 13, 2010 [1 favorite]
Wow! Her covers are amazing! Any place I can download them? (iTunes didn't have them) posted by divabat at 5:12 PM on June 13, 2010
Funny, I heard her cover of Feel Good, Inc at H&M the other day and had no idea it was hers.
Morcheeba have been one of my favorite bands for a long time. I loved the Sky and Daisy periods equally--both are really great vocalists. I saw Morcheeba with Skye on, I think, the Fragments of Freedom tour when they came through NYC. Fantastic.
I had no idea about the new album! Can't wait to hear it. Thanks for posting. posted by Admiral Haddock at 5:32 PM on June 13, 2010
Hadn't thought of Morcheeba in ages, thanks for this update. Really enjoyable. posted by sciencegeek at 5:33 PM on June 13, 2010

Morcheeba is the sound of a 90s summer for me. Thanks for the post. posted by arcticseal at 5:43 PM on June 13, 2010
One of my favorite songs ever contrasts Sky's voice with the singer from Lambchop.

There's nothing so satisfying as discovering a new genre and realizing that it perfectly describes a kind of music you had no word for before.
(I've only heard one Morcheeba song, but I could tell it was unique enough to require new lingo.) posted by rubah at 6:38 PM on June 13, 2010
Wow. Thanks for this. I totally gave up on Morcheeba when she left and I have no idea why I didn't just bother to hunt down her stuff instead. posted by eyeballkid at 7:44 PM on June 13, 2010
Divabeat: her cover of Gorillaz is only available on her myspace page (so, no downloading), but the other two are part of the comp Hollywood, Mon Amour posted by hopeless romantique at 8:17 PM on June 13, 2010
I used to love Morcheeba, and loved Skye's cover of Feel Good Inc. Had no idea she'd rejoined the group. Now I need to listen to the album. posted by cmgonzalez at 9:37 PM on June 13, 2010
A Well Deserved Break is on my driving around in the car CD, so I listen to that when I'm not listening to the radio. posted by warbaby at 10:49 PM on June 13, 2010
