My Dad just passed away last week, so thanks for posting this - I think he would have really enjoyed reading about her sense of humor and strength, because he made jokes until the end, too. "funnest death day ever!"

Top comment on Youtube: She's dead huh. I'm glad she lived. I never knew her but my life is better because she lived and died. I'll miss her when I never knew her. Me, too. Carla, I only knew you for nine minutes and forty five seconds but I miss you, too. You have enriched my life (and the lives of many others I am sure) beyond words. Thank you. I hope you are at peace. Thank you for this beautiful post, madamjujujive. It's been a while since I last cried so hard or have been inspired so much. ALS is a terrible way to die. To suffer the way she did and to still have a sense of humor is amazing. .
