THEM THANGS. Them Thangs is run by Justin Blyth. It is a collection of things I like, intended for visual inspiration, there are no links or credits. (It's kind of addicting.)

Sorry, I meant to add that some of the photos are NSFW.

It's hard to recall that Maggie Thatcher was once such an object of hatred. She's really had some well-financed PR airbrushing the last 20 years.

Reminds me of Fuck You Very Much (nsfw).

Kinda cool, but seemed like it was trying a wee bit hard to be gritty.

So basically it's somebody's Tumblr, except not run on Tumblr. Okay.

It was oddly compelling, if only for the occasional contrast between the profane and the mundane.

One visit was enough for me, though.

I was really happy to see them thangs return. It was down for a while, with a message about how the bandwidth usage was getting insane. Apparently they were pushing more data than cnn.com before they optimized the site.

Great. Now the question, "Why is Steve McQueen's ear glowing?" will haunt me for the rest of the night. Other than that, way cool.

You say that as if it's a good thing.

Ah, double.

Just in case... what exactly makes this different from any oher random "shit I like to look at" blog or tumblr?

I'm not being snarky. Obviously there must be something and I fail to see what it is.

Exactly nothing. Someone just decided that this one might be of some interest to some section of the site's userbase, a section which apparently doesn't include you. Which is cool. Everyone likes different things.

Well uhh, thanks I guess? But I was actually asking in hopes of getting an 'aha' moment, and was not in fact shitting on the post as you implied.

But, y'know, whatever.

I don't mean to be fighty, just to say that the 'aha' isn't really there. Sorry if it came off that way.

I'm trying to figure if there's some sort of willfulness to the "i'm not gonna link to where these things came from" trend on these photo collection blogs. Or just laziness. Either way it becomes half as interesting without links.

This photoblog makes no sense, but makes you wonder. That's exactly what we need in this day and age: less sense, more wonder. Awesome find, thnx Kraftmatic!
