Kitten Wearing a Tiny Hat

This post was deleted for the following reason: adorable, but pretty much already in the kitten-tiny-hat thread already in progress -- jessamyn

Poignant, funny, beautiful, and tragic. I am haunted by this motherfucker.

I did not see that ending coming. What a rollercoaster of emotions in the space of 15 seconds.

Domestic abuse is not funny.
But tiny hats are.

Why is this on the front page?

Not to be a stick in the mud, but this seems a little weak (unlike that south paw).

Why is this on the front page?

The tiny hats page doesn't exist.

LOL cat slap

Traditionally it's the guy wearing the hat that gets to do the slappin'. Interesting directorial choice to reverse roles like that.

Also I feel bad for the kitten. And is the cat's name "Speedo"? Really?

awesome.

I think this is related to this, which is still on the front page.

No no, they often call him Speedo, but his real name is Mr. Earl.

At least he got icecream later.

Well, the link led me to this epic Rube Goldberg squirrel obstacle course that anyone who's ever fed birds will enjoy but be in no way surprised....

Why is this on the front page?

You know I've been wondering about this specific complaint - the front page - there's no way to make a post that goes anywhere else is there? Don't all posts on all sites always go onto the front page?

The mom thought her baby had a spider or something on her head. She did what any good mom would do.

WHAT KIND OF A BARBARIAN LIKES SEEING A KITTEN BEING HIT? I ASK YOU.

Translations of the hissing, for those who don't speak cat:

"NO SON OF MINE IS GOING TO WEAR A HAT LIKE THAT!"

*whap!*

"FUCK YOU DAD"

For some reason this makes me want to cry, and I'm a guy that's seen people die horribly without flinching.

So, um, I'm not really sure what to do with that.

In this case, it's as opposed to being linked to in yesterday's thread also featuring this kitten with a tiny hat. So "the front page" as opposed to "the relevant and very recent already open thread."

Dang it, I feel awful for that kitten.
posted by litlnemo at 7:56 AM on June 22, 2010

The kitten was OK because, thankfully, the mother was declawed.

This has been posted (sort of) on the other page:

Don't miss the adult cat beating up on the up-and-coming kitty star in the outtakes .

Okay as someone who has never owned a cat, what is the larger cat doing? Is there some sort of maternal behavior going on that I'm not picking up on?
