you know, the first three movies had some of the best weapons ever. the AT-AT. the floating droid that interrogates Leia. the death star why isn't there anything like that in the prequels? it's weird.

I think someone made a fan tribute later on with some orangutangs, although that might've been a Clint Eastwood sequel. The prequels were just fanfic or something. Although I did like Amidala's spaceship, even though it's a pretty blatant rip off of an SR 71. As for why there aren't any cool vehicles from those horrible moives, they simply had too free of a canvas, too much money, and no restraints. It was a recipe for shiny ugly hodge podge.

That was awesome. Honestly, though, how was it done? Was it stop motion? Was it CG? Inquiring minds wonder, if it was stop motion, how did they get the background so seemless with the AT-AT? Also, I want one. I had one, a long time ago, but it didn't, y'know, move on it's own. I wanna snuggle up with my AT-AT after a long day at work. I promise I'll take good care of it. Can I have one, please?

that is impressive, most impressive. The "mandalorian dance" is pretty great also. (seems like a combo of CGI, with some stop motion) The Fan made remix-Prequel sequel that will get made in like the next 10 years, incorporating new material, with the current movies as 'raw-material' will be awesome, and it will make star wars hip again, forever replacing all memories of the movies made in the 1999-2005 era (did anything good come out of these years? Perhaps there is a thesis to be made regarding the Abyss of Bad that is this time period [heh, ultimate apologist "it's not lucas... it's the UNIVERSE!"]).

What impresses me is the running. Most of the shots look do-able with a marionette-style rig, but the running looked way too realistic for CG (It still could be for all I know) and would seem to be really difficult to do marionette style.

I've been watching this all day and every single time I see the AT-AT fire his* turrets at the squirrel, a loud "SQUEE" erupts from me. It's the cutest and most adorable thing I have ever seen and is exactly what I would expect a real pet AT-AT to do. *Telltale leglift.
