THE CAVALIERS DEFEAT THE BLUE DEVILS!!! So much for BD's undefeated season.

Wow, that was an amazing show. I haven't been so entranced by a drum corps program since Star 1993. It's so beautiful, if they don't win in Buffalo there will probably be a riot.

I wonder when this will be on my local PBS station. Brings back some great high school marching band memories :)

I...ahhhh....I....ahhhhmmmm....I....ummmmm....

I can't think of anything to say about it

actually, looking at the mug on that drummer, there may indeed be a riot. I had no idea anyone could get so worked up about the Drum Corps. I can't wait for the Triangle Corps. Now that's gonna be a dogfight. Hoo doggies!

Singing and dancing my way into the hearts of America

It's a random picture, kafkaesque :) But I think I know the one you're talking about.

Marching band was intense, actually.

Mmm, drum corps...

Is this a spoiler? What about the kids in Hawaii?

Thanks for the update. I decided not to go to the DCI Midwest because of the venue. I went last year and decided not to go again unless I could afford the REALLY good seats. Domes suck (acoustically) for Drum Corps. It's OK for marching bands, but Drum Corps are just sound washed out due to the constant echoing and drum lines overpower the horns (unless you are in the choice seats).

I had a headache after the Noon show because there were less bodies in the seats to suck up the sound.

But you can't accurately compare drumlines there beyond the features. It all washes out.

I followed a link from DCI to Blast... drum corps meets STOMP!. Very cool site... check out the video clips (only available from the Flash site). Battery Blast and Lemon Techno were both really cool.

Blast is AWESOME. I saw them their second season in Boston. There are several of my fellow UMass alumni in the show and the percussion arranger and assistant director of the UMass Band did some of the arranging. Blast! is also performing at Disney for a limited time this summer.

Man...It's great to see Disney has not totally forgotten the Drum Corps! I remember seeing Future Corps at EPCOT and loving it! Too bad they're gone now...

I would go see Blast! on Broadway but the tickets are too damn expensive!
