Was wondering how a Seinfeld/Firefly mashup would look. Considerably worse than this, I imagine. Neat find! posted by EatTheWeak at 2:51 PM on July 20, 2010

That worked for me. An explosion would've been nice. I'm guessing if there was an explosion in Seinfeld, they would of used it here. posted by marxchivist at 3:02 PM on July 20, 2010
I was imagining Frank Costanza flying towards the center of the galaxy to find Colonel Kurtz, who was being worshipped by reavers as a God. posted by condour75 at 3:06 PM on July 20, 2010 [1 favorite]
I hate it when the trailer gives away the plot of the whole movie. posted by Nelson at 3:16 PM on July 20, 2010 [2 favorites]

There was one - but it was offscreen. Uncle Leo left a spray can of oven cleaner in a hot oven. "It was a fireball!" posted by Joe Beese at 3:17 PM on July 20, 2010

d'oh. I thought we'd have Mal journeying up a river solar system to look for Kurtz cannibals. Oh, wait... posted by polyglot at 4:07 PM on July 20, 2010

A trailer called Serenity Now without this?

I kept expecting that one clip of the person driving the truck at the end of one episode as it catches on fire, but to no avail.
One of the guys I used to work with would often stop, turn, look at me with narrowed eyes, and hiss, "Newman!"
Not having watched an entire episode of Seinfeld*, I didn't understand. Now I do.
(* I was in my obligatory hate-the-TV phase through most of the '90s. Space Ghost and Cowboy Bebop brought me back. If Wayne Knight were 6'3" and had callouses on his knuckles, yeah, pretty much me.) posted by Slap*Happy at 6:53 PM on July 20, 2010
Somehow I feel it should have ended with a voiceover of Michael Richards shouting "He's a nigger! He's a nigger! A nigger! Look, there's a nigger! Ooooh" posted by nanojath at 11:33 PM on July 20, 2010
I enjoyed it. A surprising amount of action scenes pulled from the show.
