Lacking wall art for your home? Enjoy a good face full of beard? Well, then, certainly you should check out these Magnificent Specimens [flash], a photography collection by Dave Mead [flash] of the 2009 World Beard and Moustache Championships.

Previous threads mentioning the World Beard and Moustache site: How to grow and maintain the perfect handlebar moustache, Boxers can't have beards, but you can.

Dave's portraits of competitors from this past year's World Beard and Moustache Championships are currently on display at the Chelsea Market in NYC. That display is coming to an end this week though -- hurry! -- so the works are becoming available for sale at Dave Mead's site listed above.

There is also a Facebook profile/gallery of links here.

The title of this topic comes from an old George Carlin poem on his facial and other hair, which were pretty far from square, at the time of his wearing them: Carlin performance including that one here. [YT]
