If Spiderman was suicidal, wouldn't the obvious method be to hang himself on his webbing? posted by JustKeepSwimming at 10:11 AM on August 7, 2010 [1 favorite]
Not a big fan of his style, but this one tickled my funny bone
That reminds me of the After Hours videos, which are so much better than any of the superhero films I've seen yet. posted by shinybaum at 10:12 AM on August 7, 2010

Wonder Woman does not wear her crown in the bath. Don't ask me how I know this.

For some reason the coke doing Spider Man looks to me like it's not Peter Parker under the mask, but Grant Morrison. I guess it's the nose and the skinny face.
(Weird, because Spider Man is a character that Morrison would probably be useless at writing. ) posted by Artw at 10:34 AM on August 7, 2010 [1 favorite]
It would help if the painting style wasn't so horrible or the ideas so weak. posted by nomadicink at 10:59 AM on August 7, 2010 [14 favorites]
I saw this on the ONTD (celeb gossipy community) the other day, and it was funny because most people were shocked and offended by things like Pink Panther anal sex and I just considered it 100% inoffensive and a little boring in most cases. The internet has just completely ruined my ability to be shocked by anything, I think. posted by Solon and Thanks at 11:10 AM on August 7, 2010

Isabel Samaras works this same vein, with (I think) rather better results, although, to be fair, she is more working 60s/70s icons than specifically superheroes. posted by GenjiandProust at 1:46 PM on August 7, 2010 [4 favorites]

I like the Isabel Samaras paintings quite a bit better. The concept has been done and the execution's not that great. Or maybe I've just been seeing too much Rule 34 fanart lately.
