Oooo, graboids! This film reminds me of the BBC's wonderfully ridiculous 1981 adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. What fun! I'd love to see more of these from Mr. Robnik.

"how did that first one wind up crashing into the canal wall?" Cause they got it going so fast. it was all excited and mad...not thinking straight. I remember when this movie came on HBO, I was still pretty young, and so I chose not to watch it. I sat in the other room and watched TV and listened to my siblings and cousins watch it. The sounds from the movie was enough, and i had nightmares that night. Watched it again 5 or so years later, and man...my stupid imagination played that movie up WAY too much.

I've seen the first and second movies pretty frequently latest, I believe they come on either SyFy or chiller. Never seen 3 and 4 though.

It's kind of weird that Tremors has spawned any sort of fan response. It is neither good enough or bad enough to be worthy of the love. Maybe it's just the great monster design.

Well, part of the reason i liked the first one is because i grew up watching it. It is really fun and goofy though. The second one even more so.

Yay Tremors! I love Tremors. I always found the sequels amusing because of the increasingly obscure members of the original cast they had to hook in.

It's kind of weird that Tremors has spawned any sort of fan response. For me it was largely because of Michael Gross. Tremors was his first post Family Ties movie role, a role in which he played the World's Most Mild Mannered And Understanding Dad for many years and it was funnier than hell seeing him play a wild-eyed survivalist with a rec room fully stocked with armament.

also, this film claims graboids habitat is only nevada and australia but tremors 2 is set in mexico and tremors 3 implies graboids in argentina. what gives?

Part of the love for Tremors comes from it's PG-13 nature. It's not a neutered "kids" movie, per se, but it's not super scary/violent/gross either. I think Gremlins is similar - young'uns can handle it but it's still interesting and just scary enough. I can't thing of anything modern that fits that same niche.

I have seen all 4 Tremors movies and the entire TV series, and I wish there was more! I swear Tremors was on the USA channel every weekend of my adolescent life.
