I had a bad day...

The best part is that when the police arrested him at home he was 'in a sexual embrace with his partner'. Presumably having consumed some of the beer he snaffled from the galley before he took off down the chute.

He snapped, poor guy. 28 years of 'thank you... goodbye... thank you... thank you... goodbye' would do it to anyone. 28 minutes would do it to me.

I'd like to send him some more beer I think.

Slater was later arrested at his home in Belle Harbor, Queens by Port Authority officials. He was found by police in a sexual embrace with his partner, sources said.

Livin' the American dream.

I feel really badly for him. There's only so much time you can put up with other people being total assholes while you smile politely before something snaps, and I wish there were better mechanisms in place to help people out before they get to this point.

On the one hand, good for him. Cut him a break.

On the other hand, part of your job as a flight attendant is to keep it together even in the face of totally douche-ish-ness. Plus, he could have probably made a call and had the woman escorted off the plane by Sky Marshalls for ignoring his instructions.

Anyhow, I imagine the passengers that were not the douchenozzle probably didn't deserve to be cursed out.

I don't understand how he was in the industry for 28 years if he's only 38 years old.

No, but they were probably either on his side or found it funny.

Must've been a cabin boy, thirteenkiller.

I do not approve of this, and yet I love it. If I had a nickel for all the times I dreamed of pulling a ripcord on a situation and exiting stage left, I'd have very jingly pockets.

Unfortunately, the next JB employee to storm out is going to have to even more dramatically do it midflight with a parachute.

"No one was injured in the incident. JetBlue, in a statement, added, "At no time was the security or safety of our customers or crewmembers at risk.""

And yet: "Slater faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted."

Absurd.

28 years of 'thank you... goodbye... thank you... thank you... goodbye' would do it to anyone.

The guy's 38 years old, has worked for JetBlue since 2008, but says he's been "in the business" for 28 years?

Oh, and apparently, "Inflight Values Committee Member" is the new "flight attendant." Hurgh.

This guy is my new hero, I hope he somehow gets a book deal out of this.
