I'm aware of this tangential mention. Not sure if the admins would thus classify this as a dupe; if so, no hard feelings. posted by WCityMike at 7:45 PM on August 26, 2010
That was... weird. Even weirder was the video of the kid who started crying watching it from the sidebar. posted by axiom at 7:54 PM on August 26, 2010
Well. I know what my husband will be for Halloween. Thank you, internets. posted by haplesschild at 8:05 PM on August 26, 2010 [1 favorite]
Is this seriously the first time this has been posted here? I remember this being one of those first videos that got digitized when video started becoming popular on the internet.
These are seriously the most wonderful, cracked things I've seen in a long time. The costumes, the color palettes, the stilted enunciation and exaggerated facial expressions - I would love to spend an hour living through this man's brain.
The way he uses that scary old WGBH-logo moog-music in Ookie Cooke is just perfect.
whoa seriously? pickle surprise? wow. really? hey check this out. posted by nathancaswell at 8:50 PM on August 26, 2010
This vid is one of my favs. There is something really... just, off about everyone. Strange and transgressive, my gaydar pings and I wonder if the all the women are women and I feel like I want to have sex with everyone in the video. But I am not gay! Why do I want to have sex with all of these freaks?!? Where's the pickle?
This is the best thing I've every seen. I loved it I loved it I loved it. posted by nola at 9:36 PM on August 26, 2010
This is one of my favorite things on the Internet. It's also why, years after seeing this video for the first time, I say "HAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" out loud at least once every time I eat ham.
It's nice to know that somewhere out there in the world there's someone thinking, "What if Leigh Bowery were in charge of Oscar Mayer's marketing?" posted by Diablevert at 1:32 AM on August 27, 2010

I wonder if the "Log" gag they used to do on Ren & Stimpy comes from this. Ditto Powdered Toast Man. It definitely reminded me of it. posted by Trochanter at 6:44 AM on August 27, 2010
Oh, god. My boss is all about "Give 'em the pickle" these days, so the timing of this couldn't be better. posted by MrMoonPie at 7:09 AM on August 27, 2010
I can't believe I'd never seen this before! Thank you for remedying that! posted by Greg Nog at 9:37 AM on August 27, 2010
This video got even weirder for me when I realized that those guys are Michael Alig and his Club Kids. You know... Party Monster. posted by cmoj at 10:37 AM on August 27, 2010
I love this! This got linked here somewhere a while back (the previously you point to doesn't ting a bell for me, but who knows?) and I watched it about 20 times in a row. Absolutely worth its own post!
But it's not an SLYT when you include other links, is it? posted by dirtdirt at 12:22 PM on August 27, 2010
This should have been on Night Flight! Or maybe it was and I'm just not remembering it. posted by not_on_display at 12:52 PM on August 27, 2010
