David Addington is coming out of the shadows and joining the Heritage Foundation as vice president of domestic and economic policy studies which is financed by the normal culprits. Addington was the legal mind behind the White House’s war on terror and normally lurks in the shadows.

Lurks in the shadows? Geez, melodrama much? It's not like we're talking about a Dark Lord of the Sith, He Who Must Not Be Na ...

Oh wait, it's that David Addington. Never mind.

He walks around with a copy of the Constitution in his back pocket, but it's open to a certain section

And guess what? That section is not the Bill of Rights.

David Addington is coming out of the ...

Yes?

Dammit.

That picture of him in the first article is just way too much, shadowy silhouette, pondering some scheme. So I do a quick google image search ... and there he is, in the full light of day (and flash bulbs). Middle-aged lawyer type in suit and tie, and oh yeah, further down some torture victims, and his buddy Dick, and ... Quasimodo?

Every time I hear Addington's name, I fondly recall his through-the-looking glass appearance before the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. John Conyers.

Be sure to check out John Yoo discussing the finer points of the word "implement," from the same hearing. Ah, the good ole days...

This has nothing to do with upcoming elections, so obviously Addington will not have any role in bomb-throwing from the sidelines.

There's not really much here. Evil dude joins evil group financed by evil and dedicated to the propagation of evil.

Instead, I will contribute to the confusalarity: David Addison.

infinitewindow: the way to keep that straight is that one is an evil monster that drinks the blood of innocents, and the other is a fictional character.
