Duke Nukem Forever may finally be confirmed dead.

According to the link above, Shacknews is reporting "Duke Nukem Forever publisher Take-Two has confirmed to Shacknews that it was not funding ongoing development of the 3D Realms project." Take-Two's VP goes on to say...
"We can confirm that our relationship with 3D Realms for Duke Nukem Forever was a publishing arrangement, which did not include ongoing funds for development of the title," said Take-Two VP of communications Alan Lewis in a prepared statement.

"In addition, Take-Two continues to retain the publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever," he added.

Crap. This is old news. That's what I get for not reading my own links carefully enough. Feel free to close.

2K's having an event in literally 29 minutes where DNF is heavily rumored to appear.

People so easily confuse a development period of 'forever' with a due date of 'never.'

The rumors will live forever.

George rather cryptically posted an image of flying pigs. Obviously it could mean anything, but he has been quoted as saying "DNF will be released when pigs fly".

I'm convinced this game never existed. Performance art, from day one.
