Just when I'm getting discouraged about the tone of political discourse in this country, and I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do at work, and just kind of wondering what is the point of everything, along comes something like this to remind me that yes, indeed, the world is a wonderful place. posted by marxchivist at 7:22 PM on September 21, 2010 [4 favorites]
what graveyard did they dig those macs out of. posted by boo_radley at 7:26 PM on September 21, 2010 [4 favorites]

Meh. I was expecting people to get mauled by the panda, a la PvP comic strip. posted by Iosephus at 7:36 PM on September 21, 2010
they just got better and better... thanks...

If you would have told me when I woke up this morning that I would see a series of hilarious Egyptian commercials involving a panda suit and cheese, I don't think I would have believed you. posted by mreleganza at 7:39 PM on September 21, 2010 [5 favorites]

The key here is never to be put in a situation where you can refuse Panda. I think it's the act that summons him.
...Then again, it was pretty unprovoked that last time. Who knows. That panda comes from Circumstances, man. posted by ralenys at 8:46 PM on September 21, 2010 [9 favorites]

I'd take my chances with the panda bear and get a better brand. Oddly, there's no "p" sound in Arabic so the Arabic lettering on the package is actually pronounced "banda". posted by Burhanistan at 11:06 PM on September 21, 2010
I've never tasted panda milk, let alone other panda dairy products. posted by adamk at 11:28 PM on September 21, 2010
Saw this on Laughing Squid and thought, that last quick shot of the panda adjusting the angle of the cheese box relative to the POV is chillingly brilliant. posted by Haruspex at 4:27 AM on September 22, 2010
The thing I really love about these is that they show a completely different view of Egypt than what we usually get in the US. All we ever typically see of Egypt is divided between terrorism/Islamic militancy on one side and archaeology on the other side. We never get to see the deadpan wacky side of Egypt that's shown in these commercials. posted by cropshy at 7:22 AM on September 23, 2010 [2 favorites]
World peace and harmony through cheese, I always say....
(Ummm....I mean....uhh..Panda Cheese. Yeah!! Lots and lots of Panda cheese...err...ha...)
