Interactive Text Adventure for Your Kindle/E-Book Reader

The web browser on the Kindle may not be the slickest piece of software in the world, barely sufficing for checking email and basic surfing, but there's one thing it excels at: web-based text adventures. Turn on your wireless connection, peck out PortableQuest.com on those tiny little keys and prepare for a game of adventure, danger, and low cunning. (You can play without a kindle as well.) Kind of bummed because this is an alternate URL for Kindle Quest. I was hoping that the amount of websites featuring interactive fiction doubled.

I looked at the comments to this thread to confirm that there was indeed a 0% chance of there being no grue-based comments in the first three responses.

Not sure how its going to hold up on the load..
severian: never got around to optimizing it for other than the kindle. made this specifically for the kindle for now.
andendau: kindquest.com is mine too, was worried about amazon giving me grief using 'kindle' in my domain.

I remember a game similar to this from my 8th grade typing class. It was based on Alice in Wonderland, I think.
It was fun.

I take it there's a Z-machine interpreter behind this? How about being able to load your own games?
