My bad Amro. I tried looking up more but there wasn't a lot. Mostly short paragraph mentions of the ballet. So yeah, much thanks lexicakes.

That was interesting.

It's performed by the Smuin Ballet, a San Francisco company, and was choreographed by Trey McIntyre (different from the South Park guy). The NYT dance critic was more impressed than the SFGate people. This Youtube channel has some more clips from rehearsal and such.

I'd assume so since they have different last names and there is more than one Trey in the world.

Why is it ballet dance video is just full of jump cuts? Can't they just show the dancing? It's like watching a fight scene.

Didn't that one guy from the Shins batter his girlfriend? It's so hard for me to separate what a singer/musician (or anybody) does from the crimes he commits. I put my Shins songs off my favorite playlist shortly after hearing about what that guy did.

From my understanding, he was a fairly peripheral member of the band, and no longer has any current affiliation with it. I wouldn't knock the entire group because of it.

Wonderful. Ballet needs more of this. I too wish there was more video, but I'm still glad you posted it. I wouldn't have known ... and I live in Oakland. :(
