According to YouTube, a Welsh pizza complaint to ASDA is related to Cheryl Cole.
But that was a glorious punchline. And it gave some hope to the poor soul who has to man the ASDA help line. posted by Harry at 3:22 AM on October 13, 2010

Here he calls ASDA again to seek reassurance that he will not get in trouble for the large egg which he found in the box of small eggs.
I laughed at the original clip too thanks. Nice subtle prank calls. posted by therubettes at 4:42 AM on October 13, 2010
It's great to see a prank call that's about being funny and not about being an a-hole. posted by facetious at 5:27 AM on October 13, 2010 [12 favorites]
I received bad pizza as well.Don't remember going the lenght to make such phone calls..Great humor.. posted by tsagis at 8:09 AM on October 13, 2010
I was briefly a phone operator and these were the types of calls that kept me going late at night. My favorite was a guy that talked like an old blues singer and played the "I'm a man" break on his harmonica after every sentence. It was the Pre-Jerky Boys/Punk'd days, so I'm sure the prank calls were less frequent than they are now. posted by Slack-a-gogo at 8:14 AM on October 13, 2010
weapons-grade pandemonium: I think I've solved the problem of why my lawnmower does a bad job.

I don't understand how this is a prank. There aren't any insults or yelling. Maybe I'm missing some really good curses and stuff because of his accent? posted by orme at 8:33 AM on October 13, 2010
wow, classic case of capitalism gone wrong. posted by clavdivs at 8:35 AM on October 13, 2010
Great. Just Great.
Now they will add a step to every call center script in the UK to check if things are upside down.
I already lose 15 minutes of my life every time BT connects a new internet customer in my area and the techs disconnect my service but now in addition to the blinking light quiz, cable checking, power on, DSL filter crap I have to go through every time they are now going to ask if my router is upside down.
This is not funny. It is ominous. posted by srboisvert at 9:00 AM on October 13, 2010

Humour isn't all about insults or yelling. This would be filed under 'good natured' or 'self-deprecating'. It's a refreshing change from the norm for this kind of thing. posted by macdara at 9:29 AM on October 13, 2010

Okay, so this is totally taking the piss right? I mean, these are staged, prank calls not real calls right? posted by 1000monkeys at 1:33 PM on October 13, 2010
Oops, never mind I saw the comment above that it's a prankster. Some of his other calls are okay, but most of them are kind of lame. posted by 1000monkeys at 1:45 PM on October 13, 2010
At least he admitted it. I guess.
