How to REALLY play with the Millenium Falcon

Travis Stevens has created the ultimate guitar for Star Wars fans. While the Cargo Bay shows an impressive list of Star Wars-inspired musical gear manufactured by Fernandes Guitars, Stevens' one-of-a-kind instrument is... slightly different.

Star Wars fans looking to recreate the Mos Eisley cantina scene might want to save up for the Eigenharp instead (previously).

I was thinking of the mos eisly band while clicking link wondering what kind of non-human instrument it might be, then I thought "Huh, I hope it's not a millennium falcon model with a guitar neck", shortly followed by "goddammit!" :(
Guitar design these days is mostly conservative and unimaginative, but this only addresses one of those issues.

I can't figure out what kind of music it would be okay to play on that thing.

Is this the one that's hanging/has hung in the Streetlight Records window in Santa Cruz? It was unstrung last I saw.

Bah. I was expecting a Rick Nielsen style multi-neck where all the necks were AT-AT legs.

Bass. Not guitar.

That said, nice.

The first pic is a bass, but the rest, and the video are a guitar.

Whatever it is, it better have a lot of Han SOLOS (!!!!)

(You may private message your hate mail to me for that joke at your leisure)

Beat me to the guitar Solo joke, Liquidwolf. As for what music would work best on it, I'm inclined to say outer-space surf, a la the newly reformed Man or Astroman?

I have it on good authority that Han Solos require a Gibson Flying V. I bet that bass player would put Pete Townsend's act to shame if he got ahold of the Millennium Falcon bass, though.

Aren't you a little short for a Stratocaster?

You played here on that thing? You're braver then I thought.

Hm. Well. Shame on me for the broken link. Han Solo, Flying V, etc.

It's the guitar that made the Satriani run in less than 12 Malmsteens!
