Well, Raining Blood is one of the greatest works of art of our time, and I'm not sure a crass house decoration is the best...NAH - THAT RULED!
In fact, I could not imagine Christmas lights being remotely awesome before seeing that even if I tried. Very nicely done! Especially the insanity during the noise leads at the end. SLAYER! posted by ignignokt at 8:54 PM on November 20, 2010 [1 favorite]

P.S. THIS IS MY DAUGHTERS ACCOUNT SO DONT PAY ATTENTION TO THE GIRLY STUFF!!!! SLAYER RULES
Oh man.
Christmas lights (and maybe sports-themed bodypaint/costuming) are the only bits of artistic expression we let straight men have in America, it seems. Now technology has helped us reach the baroque period of Christmas decor.

The Still Reigning DVD records their 2004 performance of the entire album in concert. Dave Lombardo, who was 39 at the time, occasionally looks like he's going to have a heart attack. posted by Joe Beese at 10:15 PM on November 20, 2010 [1 favorite]
Um. Holy crap I'm a freak. I work in a sweetshop that just got a Slayer espresso machine and I thought that was what this FPP was talking about. Nope. posted by Night_owl at 10:47 PM on November 20, 2010
I read this as SLAYER! KITTENS! SLAYER KITTENS LIGHTS LIGHTORAMA!
I was somehow expecting christmas style laser cats. Was so confused when I clicked on the link and didn't see any kittens. Love the link though!

The Thriller guy says he used Light-O-Rama; based on the similarity of some of the light effects I'm guessing this one does too.
