Second comment on that article "These photographs are genuine and do show the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. However, they were not found stored in a Kodak Box brownie camera nor were they taken by a sailor on the USS QUAPAW. In fact, the images are US Naval archive photographs taken by different people at various locations around Pearl Harbour at the time of the attack. The photographs form part of the historical image collection available on the Naval Historical Center website."

I have it on good authority that these are not photos of Pearl Harbor found in an old box brownie, but eyeball-implant camera shots of the secret underground shape-shifting lizard base below LA.
(and those aren't sailors, either, but our secret lizard overlords)

I used to have a Brownie just like that when I was a kid. No film or anything, just the camera. Inherited it from my Granddad. It was a wonderfully mysterious device, something from another era. I've heard the name Brownie before but never connected it to that box until now. So the thread's not a total loss.
