Bad Astronomer Phil Plait presents "The Top 14 Astronomy Pictures of 2010".

It's kind of too bad he doesn't say anything about each picture. Like what it's of, and who took it, and when...

Look again, there is short blurb under each photo and a link to a high res version, also if you click on the large picture that appears as you move the slide show it links to the article he originally posted about each picture. Maybe the functionality of the slides isn't working for you?

I love his enthusiasm. It's the kind of earnest eagerness that's great at revealing the wonderful complexity of something I wouldn't normally think too much about.

I'm getting the same Chocolate Pickle. It's probably one of the 16 sites/scripts NoScript is blocking (including fark? WTF?). It's too bad so many web sites insist on using such crappy image interfaces. At least it wasn't silverlight. The images that did load for me were pretty.

NoScript appears to block the slideshow until you allow discovermagazine.com -- didn't work for me, does now.
