the apologizing to a chair video made me make that involuntary "Awww!!" noise one makes when things are heart-explodingly cute. posted by palomar at 11:53 AM on December 24, 2010
(Blaster Master was an old Nintendo game where you played a boy, who drove a tank, that was colored red and white. Meta senses tingling.) posted by effugas at 12:15 PM on December 24, 2010
Liked the 'apology' video. If Linus and Hugo had a kitten, would it be grey? posted by AugustWest at 12:18 PM on December 24, 2010
This was my cat Linus, may he rest in peace. We named him Linus because he like to, uh, nurse on your clothes when he sat on you. To avoid a large spitty spot on your pants, it was therefore best to put a blanket between you and the cat. posted by rtha at 12:24 PM on December 24, 2010 [3 favorites]
I think Hugo is the funny one. The reverse outta santa outfit squirm had me laughing like a horse posted by angrycat at 12:26 PM on December 24, 2010 [2 favorites]
Linus also wants to talk to you about your diabeetus testing supplies. posted by TheWhiteSkull at 12:26 PM on December 24, 2010 [10 favorites]
oh dearie me, the chair apology, my cats brother was exactly like that, and on several occasions petted various table-legs and doors that he had slammed into. And the touching! He's like my cat reincarnated. Next you'll see him jumping backwards, at great heights like like a frog, with a can of tuna stuck on his head. posted by dabitch at 2:13 PM on December 24, 2010 [2 favorites]

fo real. everyone needs to go look at 8bitchristmas.com; which provided the music for some of these videos. posted by r_nebblesworthII at 4:08 PM on December 24, 2010
I'm as crazy cat lady as they come and I think Linus is a super cute kitty, but there is no way that he's a replacement for Maru or Winston. Linus has the cute smooshey face going on but he doesn't really have much as far as personality or real quirkyness goes. He just has your typical garden variety cat personality. I'm not knocking the videos, I love them but not when compared to Maru or Winston. posted by MaryDellamorte at 4:11 PM on December 24, 2010
Artw: This is like a horror movie for cats.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what it would be like if aliens arrived on Earth whose level of intelligence were to us what our intelligence is to domestic animals. Would they treat us like we treat cats and dogs, as companions in work and play, or would they treat us as cows and pigs, raising us to be slaughtered? Either way, they'd probably put things on and in our bodies without our consent. posted by Kattullus at 4:24 PM on December 24, 2010 [1 favorite]

I am so squicked out by the beard-licking one.
He's a cute little pissed-off looking guy, though. :) posted by Serene Empress Dork at 8:43 PM on December 24, 2010
there's far too much hair and tongue going on for the beard licking one to be cute
i may be biased because my cat delights in eating bugs and mice and then licking my face with her disgusting mouse mouth posted by angrycat at 6:12 AM on December 25, 2010
