Adum Druckman does a nostalgic then-and-now by comparing today's weblogs to its earlier incarnation, the clunky personal homepage. While I appreciate Druckman's yearning for yesteryear, I think he needs to browse around more -- there's still plenty of clunky old pages out there to charm him. But it does make me pause and wonder where will weblogs go next? Your thoughts?
"Clunky charm"?......... Huh?. I think I just found a name for my band. Must be a slow week over the the Dee-Troit Times.

mis -- Adam's article came at a time I'm contemplating changes to my own site. I guess the intersection of the two making me think about what's a bell and whistle and what's innovative. Ideas are falling more into the bell and whistle basket at this point, proving that innovation is more difficult than I thought. And when the initial concept, as you said, is sound in its own right, does it really warrant innovation?
