People paid $2500 for this. Marlon Brando talking about "children hacked to death with a machete;" Al Jarreau as the Tin Man; scary, scary Liza Minelli- all to tribute the man with the plastic face. Dear god, I hope at least half of this stuff ends up in the CBS version.

A who's who of Michael's pals and big-name celebs showed up to see it for themselves, including 'N Sync (news - web sites), MaCaulay Culkin, Natalie Cole, Gloria Estefan, Marc Anthony, Aaron Carter, Nelly, Donald Trump, Teddy Riley, Jill Scott, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Kenny Rogers, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Chris Tucker, Naomi Campbell and Samuel L. Jackson.

Where's Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis? I bet he was unhappy to be left out! And no Brooke Shields, either. Weren't they dating in the mid 80s? I wish him the best, but he's still a FREAK.

"He's been a huge influence on all of us…especially on 'Bootylicious,'" Beyoncé Knowles told E! News Daily from the red carpet. "I had him in mind when I wrote the song."

heh. Michael Jackson is not "ready for her jelly."

Like hell, they did... Not one of the celebrities mentioned by name in that article paid a cent to "appear," onstage or in the audience, I'll lay you odds. As of the beginning of last week, there were LOTS of seats still available for the "paying public," who appeared to be pretty much staying away in droves...

I can't put my finger on exactly why this is true, but taken as a group, the Associated Press photos of this "event" are really frightening. It doesn't help, of course, that Jackson barely looks human anymore, but seeing him in the crowd, whooping it up next to Elizabeth Taylor for whatever forgettable pop phenom was on stage, is like something out of a Stephen King novel. And maybe I'm just creeped out by the thought of Denise Rich, Liza Minnelli, Puffy Combs and Kenny Rogers all in the same room.

Survey says: Britney. If nothing, she's ubiquitous.

Thanks for that picture mis. I will be seeing that in my nightmares. Looks as if the freak is doing a movie (which he is starring in and writing the score for) about Edgar Allen Poe. Say it aint so! Nevermore!
