My brother wants to buy a PS3 (or even a Xbox 360) but he doesnt have any sort of internet access (why yes, he does live in a cave) Would that be a major hinderance/hassle or would it just be a annoyance?

Wife and I finally got a proper fireproof document box. We have the usual birth certificates, kids SS cards etc. But one feature of the box is it claims it will keep digital media safe for 1/2 hour at 1500ºF. I want to put a USB stick in there but I am not sure what to put on it. Any suggestions?

I bought a
REI Taku jacket at their annual Attic sale (they sell their returns at usually a huge discount), for like 10% of the original cost. Enough of a commercial here's my problem, The inner pit zip zipper is stuck. I need to find a place that specializes in outdoor gear repair to fix it. I am tempted to take it to a dry cleaners, but I am scared they will screw it up.

AnimationFilter: Yet another help me find a book/movie/what ever, sorry.
The main premise was a guy in a prison who made shadow puppets with his hands to help "escape" his surroundings. The authorities make him stop by cutting his hands off. It has made me sad ever since. I would love to find a copy. of course..

This past weekend, the family and I went to Chesapeake Beach
(
Brownie Beach) in southern Maryland. As we were looking for sharks teeth and other fossils, a woman next to us was telling us about the glass beads she was finding. These apparently were from a shipwreck from the late 1700's and were "trade goods" from England. I want to know more about them. obviously..

I hate to use AskMe for tech support like this but this has me scratching my head. Ok this is the set up...G4 (AGP) has the stock drive(20GB) and a Maxtor 150Gb drive on a Sonnet PCI ATA/100 card. Sporadically, and I emphisise that word, the big drive will either not be recognized at all or not mount because the drive shows up as having 0 Bytes as the drive size. What is the cause? -->

SushiFilter: I wanna go to a sushi restaurant for my birthday. Never had "real" sushi before, just the stuff you get at the supermarket (..i know, i know). My father in law is one who can never pass up (in his mind anyway) a bargain. He likes to make bread so instead of buying the small packets of yeast, he buys the big, CostCo, industrial size bag of yeast. Once he opens that, how long until the efficiency of the yeast is diminished?
