Looks to be the case - trying a different machine that is not currently VPN'd in and it no longer occurs - the other user I was "confused" with lives in Seattle and works in IT - pretty sure they were/are using the same outbound proxy.

Wall something off into a "causes" section, simply a link and description - no commenting, no voting like projects. Allow favoriting.

That would be nice - I find MeFi has enough community-mindedness that occasionally I would probably particpate/donate to actual causes from members.

I do believe it's okay to be fat. I actually don't think my weight is the source of my unattractiveness. But I'm not a man.

Oh - it looks interesting. But the registration is way too high for me, unless I can get work to pay... (Considering that I am on two 'volunteer/community' initiatives for my company at the moment it wouldn't be a big stretch - sigh, but the timing is right.)

I could make either cowtown (home) or Banff - I have a pretty flexible schedule, and would love to meet some MeFi's.

My daughter is 7, into robots and as a self-profess legomaniac I did not even know that there was a junior mindstorms-like kit...
