On my home computer I'm getting a coldfusion error when trying to access metafilter, on both firefox and IE (win98se, by the way). I've deleted cookies and cache and still no go. Please hope me!

I'm looking for a series of flash movies linked on Mefi dealing with a guy talking about dreary life, and his weird little floating and talking ball. It's probably nothing like what I've described, but can anybody point me in the right direction anyway?

Since September 1st (he's been doing it for longer than that, but I don't know how to count beyond 40), crunchland has

IN the Bill and Liz
thread, it says that there are 3
trackbacks. When I click on the trackback link, I get no trackback. When open the thread the usual way, I get no trackbacks. Where are the trackbacks? (In both IE6 and Opera, btw.)

Women Unite!
There are many comments regarding MetaFilter being a boyzone. Frankly, I agree that it is. In a "two wrongs don't make a right" frame of mind, how about the women of MetaFilter do their part in making MeFi a Girlzone? After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

In the category of "give-Matt-more-work", does metafilter have a status page for when it goes down? If it doesn't, I'm thinking that it would be a nice feature for those of us (most of us, I'm guessing) who are chomping at the bit to find out what might be ailing metafilter and when it will come back online. Of course, the status page would have to live on a different server so that it doesn't go down at the same time.

ReadMe is your standard warning regarding the do's and don'ts of how readers should respond to blog output. Granted, MetaFilter promotes discussion, sometimes quite heated, but perhaps these are good rules of conduct for MeFites?

There seems to be something wrong with the MetaFilter XML feed. I only get "posted by 'whoever ยป', time and date, and # of comments". Also the
XML page says there is an error.
