"Everybody's Interesting" Metafilter's own, Jessamyn West, was profiled today in a local Vermont / New Hampshire paper,
The Valley News. Metafilter and Ask MetaFilter are mentioned a few times. Unfortunately, the pictures that accompanied the dead tree version don't grace the online version because there are two cute photos.

Are there, or should there be, rules governing the materials (specifically photos) on user pages? I ask because
at least one user page I stumbled upon today would be considered NSFW at my place of employment, and I was at work at the time. If not rules, perhaps a way for users to mark their own user pages as NSFW?

If you can't beat em, join em, eh? I have finally reached my tolerance threshold for people who choose—and are allowed—to be anonymous on this community site. If folks can remain
anonymous and hurl invectives toward my wife (who is not even a MeFi member) then the time has come where I too must become anonymous.
I know it has been
discussed before, but anonymity has no place in a community such as this. If people can't stand behind their own words then perhaps it is best if they hold their tongues?
