For what it's worth, IMO this thread easily passes the smell test.
(The thread on the blue, on the other hand, was *slightly* iffy to me as I perceive TPS as being friends with all the NY crowd and posting a friend's site is sorta equivalent to a self-link. Were there other comments besides Grod's and hojoki's (who may be female) where "MetaFilter" picked apart the woman? Two dorks out 43 comments is actually a pretty good ratio by internet standards, but don't let that stop you from damning the maturity of the entire community.
