Can I drive in and out of Mexico with just my drivers license? I'm visiting a friend in California and we thought we might drive down to Mexico for the day. However, I have heard that the entry/exit rules have changed this year and you can no longer make the trip with just your drivers license. Is this true? Has anyone tried this in the last month or so? Are they adamant about this or is it strongly suggested but not required? If I manage to get into Mexico with only my DL will I be able to get back out?

Hello all. I have a problem that on some sites that hotlink images directly to me, the images are coming to me resized. For example, the page is doing a width="500" on every image, making larger images smaller, and smaller images larger. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Happens in both IE and FF. And I'm not talking about the automatic image resizing option.

Ok, so it says that the typical person earns $14/hour, and the typical household earns less than $40k/year. Yet everywhere I look, I see displays of wealth. Expensive homes, cars, boats, TVs, activities, etc. So my question is: how are people paying for all of these expensive things?

Why are motorcycles with EXTREMELY loud exhausts allowed to be built and used in this country (US)? I'm talking about those Harley types that can be heard for a mile, and are so loud that they literally hurt your ears. I can be in my house with the windows closed and when one goes by, I can't hear anything but the noise of the exhaust. And forget about driving and having one next to you -- it's simply deafening.
Aren't there any noise laws to prevent this??

I was looking at a spoof map showing the 'United States of Canada' and 'Jesusland'. In it, the 'blue' states were now part of Canada, and the 'red' states were what's left of the US. With the increasing divide between the two sides, what would happen if those 'blue' states seceded somehow. Don't they represent most of the economic prosperity in this country? And what does that fact say about the this country?
(I know this is not possible, but it is interesting to look at the relationship between economics and political leaning.)

Windows XP Home. I would like to control access to certain folders so that other users can't access them. Is there either:
A. A way as administrator to hide the folders, and then somehow prevent other users from accessing the "Show hidden files and folders" option in explorer:
B. A FREE utility to control access to folders. I have searched and searched, but I can't find any completely free ones.

A post on the blue got me thinking about something.. We are exposed to (and potentially infected by) bacteria/virii/parasites all of the time. There are treatments for most bacterial and parasitic infections. However, for many types of infections, a large percentage of people show no discernable symptoms. What should one do then? [MI]
