How to share loads of peripherals between two or more computers.

I'm trying to simplify my computer wiring situation, and could use some strategic advice. I have a bunch of devices, and 3 machines. How can 2 (or preferably all 3) machines share all the peripherals? My little KVM doesn't quite cut it.

Where can I buy Junkanoo?

I just came back from the Bahamas, and was lucky enough to see some live Junkanoo music performed on the street. Where can I find (preferably live) recordings of Junkanoo bands?

How to replace a phone whilst under Cingular bondage.

So my wife and I made the stupid decision last year to sign one of Cingular's 2-year contracts for 2 free phones and their Family Plan. Problem is, the phones suck, and we can't upgrade until the contract is up.

Why are stuffed animals attached to trucks?

So what's the deal with garbage trucks, tractor trailers, construction equipment and other imposing vehicles driving around with dolls and stuffed animals attached to their grills?

Buy a Dye Sublimation Printer?

I'm in the market for a new printer to replace a dead inkjet, and have considered getting an old HP 5 color laserjet or something similarly robust, but have run across something called the dye sublimation printer made by Alps and others.

Thunderbird -> Mail.app

I'm trying to import a Thunderbird inbox into Mail so I can use Spotlight to index the messages. Everything works fine, except Mail ends up importing over 4000 messages, most of them spam, when all I see in the Thunderbird inbox is 900 messages. Why are the ghosts of spams past showing up like this? The trash can and junk mail folders are empty as can be.

What are some good strategies for studying language with notecards or flash cards? Anyone have experience with the so-called Leitner system? Are software/online notecard systems any better than the real thing? Vocabulary-building tips are appreciated, as well.

Why is that thoughts seem to occur in the physical place inside one's head? Do blind or deaf people experience the physical locality of consciousness in the same way that others do?

Any advice on how to research the bazillion non-presidential candidates that will appear on tomorrow's ballot? I've always had problems figuring out which circuit court judge to vote for, or which state assemblyperson, for example.

Since moving, my DVD player is unable to play some DVDs it once was able to play. There's sort of a rolling/fading picture at all times, or the menus look fine but the movie itself is messed up. The sound is okay, and some discs play perfectly. It's a Samsung DVD-S221.

Is there anything I can do, or is it just plain broke?

I'm trying to remember a sitcom in which midway through its life, or perhaps towards the end, one of the main characters (a housewife) starts a home-based catering business. What sitcom was it?

What's the best way to attract a readership to your blog? Must you be a self-styled journalist, pundit, or the like? Is it worth it to take out textads? Does it help to post on other people's blogs? Do you have to talk about bloggers, blogging, and the blogosphere all the time on your blog for people to read it? How do you get that first reader?
