Games with arpeggiators. Would probably make a good background bit for a podcast about mysterious goings on in an abandoned synthesizer factory.
A very brief (50s) sketch I worked up on the train the other day. Crunchy synth bass drone in conversation with a ringing guitar (also synthesized).
A thanksgiving experiment, which turned out quite nicely, I think.
Fun with drones and LFOs. Could probably pass as an Enigma tribute, thus the name.
I figured out how to use the arpeggiator on my op1 (actually the 'endless' sequencer). Brings to mind seeing out from the home village on an epic quest.
My train rides lately have been spent either a) playing with my synthesizer, or b) playing through Super Metroid on my phone. This captures pretty nicely the feeling of wandering a submerged subterranean maze, looking for secret side tunnels while kinda low on life (though with a couple energy tanks in reserve).
I work at BigCorp, which is having an internal contest to build songs for its hold music. This has finally given me the impetus to figure out how to actually make songs (rather than random sketches) with my newish OP-1. This one was built with an OP-1, along with a couple Pocket Operators (Arcade and Rhythm).
I decided to see what was around for tracking/chip-tuning these days. This is the result of a few hours of messing around with SunVox.
this is a take on 'Flyball's Lament' by the Great Big Mulp, which was also covered by ORthey... I made up some additional lyrics about space hazards some time last year, and I've been playing it at parties and whatnot - basically whenever people talk me into playing in front of a crowd.
On the subject of insomnia in a foreign country.
A song for Memorial Day, posted a few days late.
Ok, so I was playing around with the two-chord song idea, struck on something that sounded nice, and this is the end result. Brought to you by the letters G and D7.
Inspired by the Metatalk thread.
