Dumb question: does this "remove from activity" link I'm seeing on
MyComments do what I think it does?

Clicking links ≠ open in new tab/window?

These days
mefi tags all look about the same size (Opera 9.x, OS X). Is tweaking the math easy enough that the tag sizing could once again be a useful indicator of relative popularity? If not, no biggie.

I'm hoping this is a tiny pony request. Size of the cuddlier guide horses, p'raps. It is this: a [+] tag on the dateline of mefi front page posts. Clicking the [+] would add a link to one's Favourites tab.

Whenever I visit http://www.metafilter.com/index.cfm?sortby=mycommentedthreads the page load stalls at about 36kb for a good ten to twenty seconds.
Every time. What's up with that?

Whatever happened to the idea that soon we'd be able to flag a thread as "watch," so that one doesn't have to post some crappy comment just to ensure the thread appears in one's "My Comments" list? There are many threads I wish to monitor, and few I wish to actually comment upon.

Matt, we desperately need a "My AskMe" sort of deal. Things are scrolling so damn fast that it's nearly impossible to keep track of the good stuff.

Death Valley is in bloom for the first time in decades. It'd make an awesome FPP if someone puts some time into it. Alas, I have not the time. Take the idea and run with it, someone, please! [no more inside]

Census Time! Which valued (or participative/non-lurking) members have disappeared lately?

Something is deeply wrong with MeFi... the front page is simply
choc-a-bloc with great links!

How much flak will I catch if I start using "." to mark threads that I want to track on my "My Comments" page? I ask because there are several interesting threads that I want to monitor but in which I don't necessarily wish to post a message.

AskMe threads are disappearing off the front page at high speed as floods of new questions come in. It seems to me that a good many questions could have been answered had the question-asker put a bit more effort into googling. What are we to do?

Perhaps we should make Ask MetaFilter a Clydesdale instead of a pony: if user profiles included a means of categorizing one's expertise, we'd be able to have Ask MetaFilter automatically email appropriate questions to the experts; we'd be able to hunt down an expert for 1:1 communication; we'd be able to create some sort of synergy.
