This is a weird one: someone in Berkeley who I do not know is selling a bike that, based on photos and description, I think I want to buy. However, I'm in Toronto, Canada.
So, I'm looking for someone in SF who knows about bikes to examine the bike, determine if the condition is as described, purchase the bike, and ship it to me in Toronto. In addition to the fee for your work, I will of course paypal you the purchase price and the shipping price. I think $100 is fair but if you have some other price in mind, let me know. If I get multiple offers I'll take your price into consideration. If everyone says $100, I'll take your experience (if you're a mechanic or aficionado; if you've shipped bikes before, etc.) into account, so please list any pertinent details.
Note that I want the bike shipped in a professional manner, preferably in a bike box (which can probably be obtained from your LBS).
The bike is a fixed gear / track bike.

Looking for someone to do a one-off job of coding a simple web site. The site is already designed and has a very basic structure (header, footer, horizontal nav, some columns for content).
I imagine that for someone who's on their game that this is at most 2 hours work and probably much quicker by frankensteining past jobs (trust me, it's very basic).
Final product must be cross-platform/browser compatible & standards-compliant.
Those interested, send me an email and I'll fire you a graphic. If you feel the fee is insufficient and that I've underestimated the time please state so once you see the graphic and let me know you're price. You tell me how quick you can get it done and I'll choose from the applicants.
When the job is done, I'll paypal you the fee.

I'm reposting this job as parameters have changed slightly. Here's what I need:
I need a page with a generic form on it that allows people to write an email and click send and those contents are emailed to a fixed address.
The page must also have a checkbox that says "CC [fixed address]" and when that box is checked, a copy of the letter is sent to a second (fixed) address.
Must be done by Monday, May 14. $100 by Paypal.
Note that I'm just guessing on the price. If you think it's too low, pls let me know.
Questions? Bring 'em on!

I need a page that is a form where people can write an email and click send and it's sent to a specified address. Simple enough. However, I also need:
- to have a checkbox that says "CC blahblah" and when that box is checked, it also CCs the letter to blah blah and when the box is NOT checked, it doesn't CC blah blah but it does send an email to blah blah to tell them that a letter was sent so that they can keep track of how effective the campaign is.
Further, I need a "Sample" letter to toggle when the person clicks "View/Hide Sample Letter".
That's it. us$100 flat sent via Paypal. (I'm just guessing that this is probably 20 - 60 minutes work for someone who knows what they're doing but if I'm wrong and way off on the pay, pls let me know.)
Must work within Expression Engine (which allows all PHP to be run) and on a Dreamhost server. Must be done by Monday, May 14.
Whenever I've posted jobs like this before, I've gotten great response. If you want to do the job, pls let me know why I should pick you as 20 "I'll do it!" letters all look the same.
Questions? Bring 'em on!

This is an odd one but here goes:
I'm looking for one of these phones:
Motorola Motofone F3 that operates on the GSM 850 / 1900 frequency. They are apparently available in Mexico or Chile for us$30 or so. I'm hoping someone in either of these locations can pick me up a couple of these and send them to me in Canada. I'll of course reimburse you the cost and shipping and throw in an extra us$25. I figure it's about 30 - 60 minutes work depending on how readily available the phones are.
I'll be sending the money via Paypal in US$.
If you're interested, please send me an email specificying:
1) Which country you're in.
2) If you're already aware of a place that sells the phones (and if you know how much they retail for).
3) When you can run the errand.
I'll pick someone from the responses based on those answers.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.

I need an American MeFite for this job.
I want something from an American corporation. Their site will let me neither purchase it (with a Canadian credit card) or have it shipped to me in Toronto, Canada. So, I'd need you to purchase the item, have it shipped to you, and then you ship to me. The online retailer is a large reputable company and I'd Paypal you the cash in us$ once you'd dropped it in the USPS for me and sent me a total cost.
Essentially, the job entails 5 minutes of online shopping and then one trip to the post office for you.
I'd send an additional us$30 on top of the total cost.

I need someone to visit the
Fritz Hansen showroom at 22 Wooster Street in NYC and purchase some small parts for some chairs (they'd fit in your coat pocket--I need 15 of them and I think they're about $1 to $1.50 each). Then, I need them shipped to me in Toronto.
For a month I've been trying to get a store in Toronto (called Plan B, who is an official distributor) to bring them in for me but they keep making excuses about the delay after promising me a 3 day turnaround. I've called the showroom direct and keep getting a machine--they don't call me back. It's driving me a bit bonkers as I can't have anyone over for dinner till I get the parts (the chairs aren't sturdy).
I'm not even sure the store will sell as it's officially just a showroom, but I am told that that's where Plan B has been placing its order.
So, if you're close to that address and can pop in between 9 and 5 M-F and try and get them for me, I'd pay you for your time. I have no idea how much to pay for such a job because I don't know if you can just walk in and buy them or if you have to sweet talk and cajole them into selling to you--but am completely open to hearing a suggestion in email and can paypal the agreed upon price (and shipping/part cost, or course) in US$.
