What is the classical piece used in
this Monty Python episode? There are two brief snippets of it, one starting around 2:37 and the other around 3:32.

Yet another Sci-Fi ID request: I once read a tongue-in-cheek short story involving a fidgety time travel portal, dinosaurs, and culinary adventures.

When I was in college, I watched a French movie for one of my classes. The premise, as I remember it, was that a French Jew is separated from his wife and child during World War II. He starts paying a old farming couple to hide him, giving them some of the gold and valuables he is carrying. Eventually, the old couple decide that hiding him is rather lucrative, and manage to fool him into remaining in hiding after the war is over so that they can squeeze him dry.

Why are Gilbert & Sullivan so popular today, at least compared to other light opera composers? I find it hard to believe that they were the only ones creating works in that vein; so why is it that today they're the only ones we remember?

I have: a bunch of family videos, and the two old camcorders they were taken on. I also have: a PowerBook G4. I would like to get these old videos onto DVDs, using the copy of iMovie on said PowerBook. How do I go about this? What new hardware do I need?

Name that sci-fi short story: In the prologue, a colonist ship has crashed on a water planet. The colonists can't survive there themselves, so they genetically engineer humans to be about the size of microbes and live in the water instead. Most of the story deals with the resulting aquatic society, their interactions with other species of microbes, and their search for their now-forgotten origins. And no, it was not "The Incredible Journey". Any ideas on what it might be?

Back in my OS 9 days, I played a game in which you controlled a factory. Raw materials would come out of a pipe somewhere, and you had to control the conveyor belts, chutes, and other machines in the factory to make a certain quota of items by the end of the day. Incorrectly made items, of course, were deducted from your score. Can anyone else remember this game, and (even better) tell me where to find it?

A few years ago I found an entertaining article online, where the author described playing Sims 2 to make life as difficult as possible for his main character. I seem to remember that he made the character colossally ugly, and that he made the house into a maze of twist little passages, all alike. I can't seem to find the article on the basis of these clues, though; does anyone remember this better than I do?

Is there some way to find out which movie theatres in a given area are going to be showing a movie that's coming out later this month? Later this year? Or do I have to call theatres individually and ask?

What's the original source of the phrase "we lose more [noun] that way"? Googling has failed me, since I'm not sure which of the many nouns I've heard inserted in there is the correct one.

What does one do with two pounds of Key Limes? They were selling them at the local produce mart today and I picked them up on a whim. The eponymous pie is an option, of course, but I'm wondering if there's anything else worth trying.
