Why wouldnt corolla be popular with this crowd? He's funny and sometimes very insightful. His talk show may be 5 minutes of comedy jam packed into 30 minutes of television, but his other work like on loveline, the man show, and crankyankers is very good. Yet the money the zoos pay for the a panda actually goes to preserving them. Here in the US, congress passed a law to stop China from just selling them to american zoos. Zoos must show they are doing research to benefit the panda population in some way, instead of just showing them to the public. These monies have done a great deal of good. paulsc, excellent points. I too am getting sick of the realpolitik anlysis which, to me, seems like a forced rationale to feel good about the iraq conflict and the mass deaths it has produced.
