My girlfriend (who is a hardcore Lifetime fiend) and I play a game called "Green Light" where we have to cast, plot and name a Lifetime movie. Actors cannot be too A or B list and everyone playing has to agree before the game is won.

This is why I support a return of the draft. We'd sort our real quick where we're going to fight and the reasons for doing so if it effected more of us.

Those that serve seem increasingly cut off front the very society they protect. If a military and necessary for protecting our freedoms, then all of us should be willing (if able) to go do so.

I think the powers that be will cynically exploit our servicemen and women as long as they remain on the fringes.

Yes, thanks Miko. For me, it goes a long way towards explaining Obama and Wright's connection and in context, it makes a lot more sense now.
What it boils down to is which candidate you feel aligns most closely with you and voting for them. I find it interesting that so many people are sitting around waiting for Obama's major downfall. Anticipating it with something bordering on glee.

I just managed to find The Three O'Clock's " Arrive Without Travelling" on vinyl. "Her Head's Revolving" was a rippin' tune and it still sounds good now.

I was raised a JW and although I quit in my late teens (I realized I was agnostic), I didn't find anything 'spirit breaking' about not being able to celebrate holidays. Explaining why I didn't was tiresome, however.

200+ nukes is not that much of a deterrent if you've got nothing to lose - they can't bomb people within their own borders. MAD was based on the fact that neither side would win a nuclear contest.
