Psst! Vacapinta! Whazzup, dude? Hey, I'll give you $20 bucks - no, €20 - if you let me use inline tags. It doesn't have to be a big deal, just between us.

Karnofsky alarm?
Meh. It's too beautiful a spring mothers' day for CSI Mefi style. I found it a vaguely nostalgic post, as I remembered tooling around in my dad's butterscotch Datsun Z car.

BIG VOTES vs small votes
Opera rocks, dude. Have you ever just stuck your finger on the zero key with opera? Try it sometime. LOVE the zoom page. Love the Speed Dial. People just don't understand Opera, and forget to code for it appropriately, is all.

Oh, I forgot, i set my Opera settings to look like IE to most webpages, that might help. Totally worth it, imho. Also I didn't mean to indirectly insinuate that Matt H. wasn't coding for Opera, just that generally it seems a bit like a forgotten half-sister, no offense!

Can we make it so that if we map how the art travels it looks like a bunny?
I was once an expert mail-artist, if I do say so myself, pre-email and unemployed. I once constructed a valentine out of balsa wood, hardware, telephone wire, and covered it in sandpaper, and managed to send it in the mail (the recipient was gobsmocked.) I made my own stamps, for chrissakes (this was before stamps.com, naturally.)
Nowadays I've got the kid, the job, the whatever, but dagnabit, I'd love to be in. But gosh darn it all, I just don't want to sit here and... [more]

You Tube Meta Data
(your youtube is blocked so why do you need to know anything about it before you can actually watch it?)
I can think of several reasons, but the main one involves wanting to know what the hell a conversation is about without the benefit of having seen the video.

And even if my youTube wasn't blocked at work, I still just think it's good practice to give users a sense of where they're going in your navigation design. Am I the only one who looks at a link's destination before I click it? The problem with youTube link is that they strip any sense of wayfaring out. I thought Mefi of all places would be into correcting that.

And it's not just posts, you see it all the time in comments with links to IMDB and Amazon that use this book or this movie as the anchor text.
Yeah, but you don't see FPP posts with links to those pages, oh, like, 20 times an hour. And but plus, Amazon often does have useful things in their links. Here's one at random:

Not to be snarky, but if you have to customize it, maybe you're spending too much time looking at it.
It's a design thing, Angelo, you wouldn't understand.

What is the little icon supposed to be? It looks like a square with a piece of green pie in it. Now I love square pie as much as the next gal, but somehow I don't think that's the Matt's code style...
Anyhoo, it's very nice, and almost makes up for the denial of the inline img tag. Lord, how I weep for ceiling kitty.

Sometimes people (self included) just get excited or lazy and don't read closely enough and re-refer. To pick a random eg, on the peanut butter link the guy said "I've looked at vegan lunchbox.com, and it's not doing it for me," and then the second comment was "oh! have I got a great site for you!" just an oversight on the commenter's part. Not a troll or anything inherently evil, just a little more careless than a spelling mistake. Easy to do when you're at work and the... [more]

My three cents worth: 1. Oh my god, this is going the Way of the Portobello (Precedent,) isn't it? 2. WHOSE SOCK PUPPET IS HE? 3. What he really wants is for someone to link him to a mail order bride site, right?
I know it's kinda evil, but I can't stop watching!
