The Last Knit. Yes, it's a one link YouTube post -- but it's a one link YouTube post about knitting, and that makes all the difference.

Music: Feature or Bug? When I try streaming a song from the front page, as soon as I scroll past it or flip to a different browser tab, it stops playing. If I load the song's individual page and stream it from there, it contines to play until I close it (even as I type this MeTa post in another tab, for example).

Pony: Can a "My contacts" link be added next to "My posts" and "My comments"? I like the "My contacts" feature, but I don't use it that often because I have to get to it via my user page, which I can only access from the main pages, not thread pages, so I tend to forget about it. I'd use it more if it was a one click thing in the header.

How about a 10K walk before breakfast?

Gulu Walk. Aiming to increase awareness about the Night Commuters of Northern Uganda, some Canadians have started a month long series of nightly walks from their homes into the city to sleep. The Night Commuters are children from rural areas near Gulu who must travel into the city each night to remain safe from kidnappers in the countryside.

Is it a good idea to set the text size in posts? Users can set the font sizes to something comfortable and readable for them in their profiles, but if the poster sets them manually, that useful function is lost.

Portable Phone Frequencies

What's the difference between the various frequency bands for portable phones? I wish to buy a portable phone / digital answering machine for my home (not a cellular phone), and have noticed they come in 900Mhz, 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz versions. Is there a difference between these that I should know about before buying a phone?

Scam? I've been contacted and told I was selected to win a prize as a thank you for filling out a survey a few months ago. I have to go to a lunch and draw for which prize I'll receive out of 5. Presumably this is a scam, and I imagine it's a Time Share sales thing. So my question is this, if I go, and withstand the stupid timeshare marketing thing, will I actually get a prize? Or will I be scammed out of that, too? The company in question is 'The Vacation Store' and this is local to Toronto, since there are a lot of Vacation Stores out there on the net.

DietFilter: I'm on a diet, and losing weight, which is nice. But in weird spurts, which is, well, weird. I sit at approximately the same weight for 2 weeks. Then I lose 5 pounds in 2 days. Then I sit at that new weight for 2 weeks. Repeat. This seems weird to me, but I've never watched my weight this closely while dieting before. Is this how it usually goes, or am I just weird?

ExcerFilter - Do any of you lovely Mefi Girls go to Curves? Speaking as a person who has miserably failed at a vast number of exercise regimes for a few reasons (I have asthma, I hate looking at skinny people while I sweat through my fat and exercise bores me), I'm looking at Curves as a possibility for my latest exercise venture. I'd be interested in hearing about whether it works, whether exercise haters like me can get into it, and since it's probably inevitable, all the reasons why it's a stupid program and I'd be better off at a real gym.
