Our mattress was damaged in a (self) move and we have reason to believe that it is a manufacturing issue. We have to deal with the furniture store first. We do not anticipate this being an easy situation. Advice needed, please.

Asking for Mr. Oflinkey:
Where can he find reliable statistics about how many Americans are employed by various auto manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, Ford, etc.). This should not be limited to manufacturing jobs.
He is seeking this information to answer a larger question: Does buying American-made cars really make much of a difference anymore?

Help me sort out tipping packers/movers: The move is 65 miles (so not interstate, etc.), but because of scheduling, I have packers (3) coming on day one (about 1/2 of my stuff is already packed), movers (3) to load on day two, and movers (3) to unload on day three. Is this $20 a person no matter what? I plan on drinks and food, too.

Beading question- I am making a simple seed bead necklace, a few bracelets, and earrings. The beads are too small for any needle I have, but it is excessively tedious stringing the teensy beads one by one (especially since I am working toward a thick, ropy and twisted necklace). I know nothing about beading, so I am wondering if anyone here can give me tips, shortcuts, or just tell me that there is no other way to do it.

I am sorry if this is a stupid noob question, but my laptop has gotten really slow the last few days- things take forever to load up and I get overlapping in windows, etc. I suspect there has been a buildup of processes, but I really am too computer dumb to know which ones I need and which I can shut off to improve the situation. I have run ad-aware, virus scan, defrag, etc. Is there somewhere I can go that is a cheater site to help me sort out what I can shut off?

The movie _Big Night_ had a wonderful scene with a dish they called tympani. It is actually a traditional dish, although perhaps not as massive as it was in the film. The idea is that the tympani is filled to the brim with goodies like sausage, eggs, ravioli, etc. I have been able to find only one version of a receipe through google, but this particular method uses a loose pasta bottom/sides, and a shortbread-type top. I am more interested in experimenting with something that looks more like the movie version, albeit smaller (for those of you that have not seen the move, first, run out and rent it...the tympani looks as if it uses sheet pasta all around). Any advice for cooking with sheet pasta as a crust on a large pie-type dish?
