What is a Munchy Box?
In the west of Scotland, in the towns and villages surrounding Glasgow, there is a delicacy available in some of the more discerning fast-food outlets. It’s called the Munchy Box (sometimes just Munch Box) and it’s a sight to behold.

As per
this MeTa post, I'll be over from London to San Francisco for the third week in August. Where can I gig when I'm there?

I have an external firewire hard disk sitting on top on a powered monitor speaker on my desk here. Is this a terrible idea? Will it shorten the life of the drive? What's a safe distance?

London's Best Busker
Being a licensed London busker, I'm very excited that there's some media attention being put our way. I'm going to be publishing a new song every week while the competition for the best London busker is on. I'd love it if you Mefites around the world would vote for me (they're counted daily, so - just like in Florida a few years back - you can keep coming back and voting for me again). Signup is
here, you can vote for me
here, and see how I'm doing
here. As I release my new tunes, they'll appear on
my site, as well as - of course -
MeFi Music. Thanks!

So, you're religious about standards, speak fluently in the tongues of CSS and XHTML and have declared jihad against IE several times in your last few years of professional web development.
You're festidious about detail, have an eye for design, are a dab hand with Photoshop, care about usability, accessibility, semantics, information architecture and, importantly, making things that work well using best practices.
Moreover, you enjoy doing all of this stuff, and would like to do it on big boy web sites, for clients like Coca-Cola, Orange and eBay.
Also, you're not just gonna turn up, stare at your screen all day, then disappear at 5:30pm. You're personable, sociable, interesting, interested, fun, funny, keen and sane. Well, mostly sane.
Whack me your CV, portfolio URL or disk (a must, since we're obviously gonna wanna need to see some code…), and tell me about yourself, what got you this far, and where you wanna go next.

eBay UK Easy Lister
After a fair few months of graft, the easy listing tool I've been working on for eBay has been put live on the UK core. Now all of Britain doesn't have to muck around with a multi-page form to sell their old crap! Yay!

Due to a break in at work, some exceptionally stupid criminals, and an unusually responsive police department, I'm now in possession of a knackered high spec iMac G5 that has been dropped and no longer boots. I there anything I can do with the rest of it?

Short notice NYC MeetUp? I'm holidaying in Manhattan from the 26th to the 6th, and I'd love to play the London Mefi Ambassador, and rendezvous with a few native New Yoikers.
Anyone fancy a pint?

Tax Free Shopping in NYC. I'm visiting New York for ten days starting Boxing Day (woo!), and I'm wondering if it's a good time to sell my black MacBook here (in the UK) and pick up a 15" MacBook Pro in the Big Apple.

Daddy, I want a pony.
Further to me asking
this, I'd love it if Matt would make a(nother) RSS feed for each user, listing all of their contributions (posts and comments [or maybe just posts?]) - basically, a what-I-said-on-MeFi Feed. Is it a big strain on the server, making these feeds? There seem to be a lot per-user already.

I moved to London (SE4) just under a month ago. I've already found a great job (this is good), and I'd like to get broadband at home. I ordered ADSL from Demon just before I moved, I am still waiting for it to be installed, a month later.

Having recently splashed out on a nice black PowerMac 5500/275, I want to upgrade the RAM. I'm aware that it takes 168pin, 5v EDO DRAM (up to two 64mb DIMMS), but finding these in the UK is tough. I won two 64mb chips on eBay at 1p, but they're the wrong voltage. Anyone know a (cheap) supplier of the stuff here in England?
