4,100 people in NYC are diagnosed with diabetes every day? That's 1.4 million a year. the article says there are 800,000 living with adult diabetes in NYC today. Are you saying that within 10 years everyone's going to have it?

I'm not saying diabetes isn't a terrible thing, and way too prevalent. I'm just questioning the numbers in the synopsis.

Sorry for coming late to the party. My uncle actually owned the Chemosphere house from around 1982 to 1997. The view is amazing, you have to take an inclinator (or about 200 stairs) to get from the parking garage up to the house, and there are two plexiglass plates in the floor near the edge where you can look down to the area immediately below the house.

Sad. I love the idea, but placing the windows above the fireplace? I can't suspend my disbelief because I *know* windows wouldn't be there. The chimney's in the way, and nobody ever puts windows above a mantle.

Slater, it's been a good long while since nickels were made of Nickel, and I believe pennies are currently made of copper-clad aluminum. Anyhow, all US money is non-ferrous, and is just as unaffected by magnetic forces as a houseplant (which is to say, almost entirely).

I'm not pushing a viewpoint here, but life insurance companies take into account pre-existing health conditions all the time. If one has a genetic predisposition toward homosexuality, I could see them claiming that it's no different than any other genetic predisposition that factors into their actuarial tables.

Anyone know if I get a higher life insurance rate because I'm left-handed?

alums, you can move the toolbar to wherever you want, and the popup springs from the toolbar.

Also, you can add other search engines or the like to the Google Desktop Search. It's all in custom settings. Check out Ev for an example.

I wish iTunes was more like Audion. All my mp3s are organized as full albums folders, /artist/album/01-track.mp3 , and iTunes simply won't recognize them like that. I have to instead make sure every mp3 on the machine has correct (and consistent) ID3 tags, and then work playlists from within the "browse" window.

Dude, it's a pref in iTunes. It'll even sort them for you.
