The Greatest Sideshow Video Ever Made.

The Greatest Sideshow Video Ever Made. "The Greatest Sideshow Video Ever Made was shot at the Moore theater in Seattle in 1992. The oddball cousin of Seattle's grunge music scene, the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow mixed vintage sideshow acts with novel stunts never before seen. Previously available only on VHS tape or DVD, this mind-blowing collection of feats of human daring is now available online in six parts for your viewing pleasure: 1 2 3 4 5 6 As an added bonus, watch as Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam participates." The International Year of the Potato

2008: The International Year of the Potato. Why now? Because the potato is delicious previously, easy to grow, and fun for all ages.

Battle Refrigeration!

Taming an uneven refrigerator? You know how one can increase the performance of an oven by leaving a pizza stone in it? I'm wondering if the same can be done with a fridge.

Republicanism 101 for Teen Liberals

CogentRightWingThinkerFilter: A friend of mine has a younger sister who is a well-educated and politically savvy 16-year-old liberal Democrat. In the interests of broadening her horizons, what sources for Republican or right-wing politics would you recommend for her?

iPod help: My 5-Gig, Touchwheel iPod is hung and displays the following message: "No battery power remains. Please connect iPod to power." However, the iPod had 2/3s of a charge before it hung and does not accept a charge when I plug it in. I am unable to reset the iPod and it refuses all keyboard input. It has displayed this message for almost two days now. The iPod also does not register in the Finder of either of my computers. Should I buy a new battery or is the iPod dead?

Like many of us, I've got AdBlock installed in Mozilla/Firefox. I've gathered from reading threads that Google textads appear in a number of threads, often with hilarious results. However, I don't see these ads because I've got the iframe or whatever filtered out.

Does filtering the ads affect the pageviews or whatever mechanism is used to pay Matt? If so, I'll happily unblock the ads to keep Metafilter solvent. If not, I'm just as happy to skip them.
