Well I am against the outsourcing of call centres to third world countries.

Coming back to work this week was a real downer and I felt very depressed, so I called Life Line, wanting to talk to someone about the way I was feeling. The call was routed to the new call centre in Pakistan.

I offer my best wishes too.

I suffered a serious head injury many years ago. I display my giant Frankenstein scar from the resulting surgery with pride, particularly latterly, as my hairline beats a hasty retreat from my face.

It took me some time to get over, but I have made a full recovery, despite dire predictions at the time - the brain is one amazing thing.

It was twenty years in April. It is a long road. It is worth it.

I discovered Metafilter following September 11 2001, and was initially attracted to the intelligent and insightful discussion. I suppose I hadn't really considered Americans to be either intelligent or insightful and over the years this place has raised my opinion of US Citizens.

I read the blue the most, it is like reading the world news section of Wednesdays newspaper - on Monday.
